I’ve spotted it on Amazon.com and ITunes, but it’s rather expensive, so I’m going to wait and see if it turns up on television or maybe re-read the book.
Oh! I’ve seen this!! But I wouldn’t have made the connection. I hope it turns up on the old movie channel again soon. (I’ve seen the movie of MK’s The Constant Nymph there too but haven’t managed to watch it.)
This movie trailer was a great find! I purchased the VHS a long time ago (I almost forgot what VHS’s were…) and now we no longer have a VHS player. But the movie is so cute–great actors. What I enjoyed about the book, of course, is that even though it has a similar sense of fun, there are interesting subtleties in Julia’s character, and I particularly enjoyed the interplay between her and Brian Relton, as I mentioned in my review.

The Nutmeg Tree was good fun…I mixed it up with some gothic stuff I was reading at the same time so it lightened the mood. I liked the ending.
Also read The Foolish Gentlewoman by Sharp this past week.
