The Classics Club Spin has given me a wonderful book.
A little Victorian crime will suit my reading mood very well.
I put The Leavenworth Case aside because I needed time I didn’t have to focus on it. Tomorrow I have a six house train journey.
My copy is small and tatty, making it an ideal train book.
I hope every one else is as happy with the books that have spun their way.
Two more little books from my spin list – Mariana and Black Narcissus will be coming too, because it would never do to be stuck on a train without the right book.
And because I’ve drawn a relatively short book I can press on with Vanity Fair, and sign up officially for the read-along when I get home, on Thursday or Friday.
But I’ll be disappearing until then … work, travel and training …
Will look forward to your thoughts on this one.
I downloaded a copy last year but I haven’t read it yet. That penguin edition looks much more appealing!
Have only just signed up for classics club – posting my list of 50 tomorrow so missed the spin. Enjoy your read.
I have a digital copy of this but haven’t yet read it – it does sound wonderful so I’ll look forward to your review!
Looks like a great choice for the train journey. 🙂
I also have a copy of this but haven’t read it yet. I’m looking forward to seeing your review!
I love the sound of this book – shall go and investigate.
