A Dog Blogs: Do You Want to Play?

Hello. It’s me – Briar!

I don’t know what the weather is like where you are, but here on the south-west tip of Cornwall it is cold and wet and nasty. Even I don’t want to go out for a walk while it’s like this!

So I thought it would be a good night to have another round of my game.

Here’s how it works, in case you missed it last time, or in case you forgot.

We think of a person with a lovely blog, we pick five books from our shelves to represent that blogger, we take a picture and make a list, and then you get to guess who it is.

It could be you! Guess in the comments, and I will be back with the answers on Saturday.

I’m sorry the pictures aren’t better, but we’re still working with a camera phone.

Here’s the first one:

The Secret Life of William Shakespeare by Jude Morgan
Alone in Berlin by Hans Fallada
The Game of Kings by Dorothy Dunnett
Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens
The Sultan’s Wife by Jane Johnson

Any ideas?

Here’s another:

The Ponder Heart by Eudora Welty
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
Greenery Street by Denis Mackail
Middlemarch by George Eliot
The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton

Do you know who that is?

Time for the one more:

Mr Pim Passes By by A A Milne
Summer Half by A A Milne
The Blitz by Juliet Gardiner
Hostages to Fortune by Elizabeth Cambridge
An Appetite for Life by Charles Ritchie

And that’s it for tonight. Three lovely blogs to identify!

I am going to have a little nap now, and I am hoping that I will wake up to find some good guesses.

Jane will be back tomorrow to talk about a book she has just read, and I will be back on Saturday with answers.

  1. Hi Briar – it’s a cold, wet day here too even though it’s supposed to be Spring. Just the day to be entertained by your game – thank you!

No 1 – I think is Helen from She Reads Novels

No 3 – Claire from The Captive Reader

    No 2 – haven’t a clue!

  2. This looks fun, Briar! 🙂
I’m guessing No. 2 is Audrey (books as food) and No.3 is definitely Claire (The Captive Reader)!
    No idea about No.1, though.

  3. What a charming idea, to be sure…sadly, I think I need a multiple choice form, though. Looking forward to your answers after I return from the long (Columbus Day in America) weekend.
