Well we did have a busy day!
Briar settled on her bed in front of the bookcases to sleep, and to dream of who knows what.
I settled on the other side of the room in front of the Aga with a couple of books. I finished The Sonambulist and then I read a good bit of The Tiger’s Wife.

Agas are a mixed blessing, but they ours does provide a lovely sleeping and reading room.
Isn’t it sweet the way they take themselves off for a nap in their special place. Sweet dreams, Briar!
The Aga room is generally Briar’s retreat when us humans are making too much noise in out main living room at the front of the house. She allows me to stay as long as I’m quiet!
